the marine betta has been in there since november, he had lateral lines when i bought him. i got him from og, some of you may remeber him. he was there forever and my fiancee and i felt sorry for him. awesome fish, he has tons of personality. he loves shrimp, and tiny fish as my extra small pistol/goby pair found out. he cant f with the coral banded i put in there, so that ones safe.

the mandarin i got it from galee about a month or so back. he's the reason for the hob refugium, he does eat roe regularly so it helps while i jump start the refug. he(marley, the mandarin gobey) told me to tell you "thanks again" for the algae.

harold hooked me up with the daisies, they have grown pretty well.

i run a fluval 405.

I'm curious - what kind of media do you have in the filter? Sponge and bio-media? Carbon?

not very much hard work involved. all i ever do is a 5 gallon pwc every 7-10 days with ro/di and reef crystals. i dont test levels, and i only dose calcium once a week @ one capful of seachem(ive had the same 8.5oz bottle since october). i have all the equipment, but after never seeing a spike in anything i figured as long as i dont change the bio-load with more fish everything should be fine. so far so good KNOCK ON WOOD!! plus the hob refuge has worked wonders for my diatom blooms, without having to scrape anything it's disappearing.

thanks to everybody for the comments, it is much appreciated :). anything anybody think they would change if it was their setup? im always open to suggestions and tricks of the trade.
