but i have a question for anyone, how do you get rid of hydroids???? i cut them with nail clippers and they seem to come back

hey nanoreefbro, i don't do much to keep the sand white, my pistol takes care of that for me, but i do blow my rocks off right before i do my water changes.... sorry it took so long to get back... oh and i use to 2 aquamedic 14k pheonix 150w hqi and 1 96w actinic.

i have scraped the glass and man my corals have taken off since then, so i will have to post some new pics....

I love it. Looks really nice.

FYI, keep an eye on the Xenia and GSP. They will grow QUICKLY with the lighting you have. They will sting/kill many of the other much nicer corals you have too. I've had both in my tanks before. After loosing a couple of my favorite corals I had to take out whole rocks to get rid of them. GSP is really hard to remove...

actually the one thing that hasn't taken off is the gsp, probably becuase i have tons of hydroids on that rock stinging them. the xenia, i put rubble around them and created a rocks so when they do get out of hand i can break the rocks apart and frag them

thx, everyone... i'm gonna miss my baby... i will start back up with a vengence in about a year or so... with school almost over and clinicals around the corner, full time job and 2 kids, there is not enough time for me to enjoy let alone maintain it the way i normally do. =(
