The original test setup I showed off at north and south club meetings;
(I don't need to explain how bright it is anymore, do I? :cool: )

(I wanted to get a pic of the light spot, but camera just wouldn't focus on it...it's not entirely uniform though...probably due to LEDs being unevenly mounted.)


It's still not done though, I am going to be putting it into a fixture. Will also be checking with plastics place about another idea I want to try with this.

Also managed to pass enough juice from a red wire in my left hand to a red wire in my right hand to light up the center red LED briefly. :eek:

What is the housings those LEDs are mounted in? Did you buy them like that?

very very cool Stan. Is that some sort of heat-sink they are attached to?

Yeah, it has a built in fan, it's solid copper (a good thing), very efficient even at ultra low speeds, and it ends up costing only a tiny bit more than just putting together a seperate heatsink and fan.
