Hi,
Does anyone have a link for setting up an auto sump "Top Off" setup? I've got the general idea but still would like to see some plans. If anyone has a very cool set up I'd really like to come over and check it out if that's okay. It really helps me to see a visual of what I'm trying to do.
Thanks

Thanks Tarasco, good link.

Thanks Chap.....I'll give you a call and swing by in the next day or so to look at the auto refill if you don't mind. I'd love to see how your 180 is looking as well. I picked up a pincushion leather about two months ago that was about the size of a half dollar around. Now it's about half the size of your giant leather. It's amazing how those things grow so fast.

Your welcome to check mine out. I have a real simple, hidden set-up for my 12 gal Nano Cube. I'll take pictures and post or you can come over for a look.

Materials needed: one small air pump, float switch, splices, 1 gallon container with tightly sealed lid, 2 pieces of rigid clear tubing and 2 pieces of flexible tubing and tube holders/suction cups.

Drill 2 holes in container lid to fit the rigid tube. One tube will run to the bottom of the container and will be the water supply, the other tube just runs a couple inches inside the container to supply the air. Splice the float switch in line with either wire of the powercord of the air pump. Run one flexible tubing from the air pump to the short rigid tube and one flexible tube from the long rigid tube of the container and into the sump of the tank secured with suction cup tube holders. Position the float switch inside the sump at the desired water level. Fill container with your RO water and place below the tank and inside the cabinet. When the water level drops, the float switch kicks on the air pump which pumps air into the 1 gallon container which in turn forces water out of the other tube into the tank. Presto! A perfect way to keep your water perfectly balanced. Make sure the float switch does not clog up with sponges...or other living things as it could cause it to malfunction and pump an extra gallon of water into your tank. Just clean it every once in a while. Pictures to follow this post.
