Does anyone have experience with this hardware? I can't seem to get linux installed on this hardware. Not too much info on google either.

I'm having problem w/ the RAID stuff on it. Tried about RAID (Intel/Adaptec) configuration... and tried it without RAID... so no go.

Thanks.

Just looking around it looks like it's not supported for that version of Fedora:

http://www.supermicro.com/support/resources/OS/5000PCompatibility.cfm

RH Enterprise shows as supported with caveats (of course)...

Will probably also need a kernel later than 2.6.21 since it supports the core2duo processors by default.

actually, I just got it working.. but w/o the raid support. :-)
RH Enterprise cost money, so we're going with fedora core 6 instead.

Good deal.

Regarding RHEL, check out CentOS 5. Free version and you might only need to change /etc/redhat-release to trick it. That's what I've been doing when testing out Scalix.

CentOS seems to be the standard for stability, and Fedora is bleeding edge. Most places I work with are more interested in the stability thing, wonder why. ;)
