chiller not working.....

Hey everyone,

My chiller isn't working right for some reason. The water that goes through the chiller to my main tank is not cooled at all :( I asked stan about it and he told me to replace the refrigerant. Does anyone know where and how I can get a hold of this? And also at a cheap cost? I have zero knowledge on this so any help would be appreciated. At the mean time, I have several fans blowing at the water and adding tons of ice as top-off.. lol, this has got to stop!

what type of refrigerant is it? r143? If it is R143 go to pepboys for about $10 you can do it. Do not add refrigerant if not needed- it will cause too much pressure in the compresor

Will,
You can drop off your chiller at our facility between the hours of 9am - 3pm. It usually takes us a couple of days to send it thru our check out process. We charge a $75 inspection fee. Once we determined what the problem is we will let you know if we can fix it and if so the cost. Our number is 858-292-4773.

They want a $75 inspection fee... And who knows how much its gonna be for the refrigerant... :( Does anyone know where else I can go?

Does the inspection fee go towards the repair. If all it needs is a refrigerant, your total cost might be $75.

Yea!! no need to repair, hahhaa.... I took it apart and there was dust all over it. Cleaned it up and it works great again! It would've been horrible if I actually took it in, and paying that $75 for them to dust it off for me... :rolleyes:
