Tong's (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=tong%27s+fish+aquarium+los+angeles&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=13&om=1)

I've been wanting to visit Atlantic Tropical Aquarium (wholesale, open to public) - it might be worth a stop. It's near the junction of 605 [I had mistyped as 405 - corrected] & 91. www.atafish.com (http://www.atafish.com); they also advertise on CL... the latest listing is here (http://sandiego.craigslist.org/for/286019504.html) (print and bring the CL listing for special prices)

Tong's is a nice HUGE place.... some pricey corals, but they have a ton of selection.

Way back when, Aquarium City and Mark's were the best places for corals in the valley area....they still around?

And what was that one on Reseda Blvd. with the multi-thousand gallon tank? I assume it is long since gone after the Northridge quake...

If you go to ATA, just be ready for some of the worst customer service you've ever seen.

They basicly dont give a crap about you unless you've phoned in a $1000 order ahead of time....bought my 12g cube there, but only because I wasted all that time in traffic, and didnt want to go back empty handed. Had that not been the case, i wouldnt have spent a dime.

Aquarium City is still around, I just passed by it today. I've been there before a few times when I was in the FW hobby. They do have some good looking corals...might have to stop by there sometime.

my folks live like 10 mins from that place and every time i visit i stop by and take a look at ATA... his set up is shanty at best... but his prices are second to none.. although if you bought a fish you would have to QT for at least a month... his water is tainted with ick... i was there this weekend and he has a huge tank full of nice zoos but they wheel and deel like used car salesmen... and i hate that... you got to haggle on the prices cause a lot of them arent marked and change depending on who you ask... most of the workers dont know anything about reefing... i got a pretty nice clam from him for only 22 bucks but i was sure to dip that thing before i put it in my system... i dont trust his water plain and simple...

a pretty good fish store is
OC Aquatic Tropical Fish 10110 Adams Ave Huntington Beach, CA 92646
(714) 965-7888
thos guys know what their talking about.. their setup is really clean and prices are reasonable... they have a frag tank withsome pretty cool SPS for 5 bucks... the frags werent fresh cut either cause they were crusting over the glue on the peg... pretty nice store...

I went to Aquarium City yesterday and picked up a pretty good variety of Zoas and a shroom. They also have some killer prices.
