Very nice! Lots of top-notch equipment. Wow, a Rio HF 14? dang, that's some serious water movement, you going to have SPS? That looks like a pretty killer skimmer also. Be sure to update pics!

Yes, there is no way to have a sandbed with two MJ mods.

LOL, sand hurricane!

Looks like a nice setup. I think that skimmer will be enough for ya.;)

im sick of buyin a new skimmer for every tank i get so this one should be good for easily a 125

i think im just gunna go bbb in the display so i can have super high flow and run a sand bed in the sump to get the best of both worlds

hey nick,
did you have ploblems with your rocks slidding around bb? i want to make some pillars but im worried about them falling

with some careful planning maybe you could place some silicone on the bottom in certain areas so that the rocks have a 'no-slip' grip.

you'd have to mentally figure out where your rock will go, then figure out where they actually touch the glass. then lay some globs down...

I drilled the rocks and I used hard acrlic tubing to hold the rocks.

the skimmer isnt hooked up yet just rinsing it out with some salt water overnight to get all the oils and stuff out of it

I guess what I'm trying to say is that for the skimmer are you going to glue the skimmer pipes? Some people say to use teflon tape because once you glue it you can't adjust it. The reason why I am asking is because I'm setting up my 150 Gal and I asked that question.. I took some pics and if you look at my sig for my 150 Gal you can see what I'm talking about..

yeah im gunna glue them. just make sure you cut the pieces right the first time so you dont have to take it apart and use a union so you can take it out for cleaning
