i see my rusty angel (stupid common names... i bought it was a potters angel. i later found out these arent the same fish...) nibbling at something on the overflow of my prizm pretty regularly. algae or something. would like to replace prizm in the future... Thats all for now, thanks for looking. Any questions just ask. Colin.

George, im flattered hehe. I will consider it if the algae continues to slow down. I admire your tanks and would like to see them in person as well. Take it easy, Colin.

Do you guys think I should paint the back of my tank dark blue, or black?

I say paint it, it helps hide the equipment and makes the livestock standout. Hey you tank looks really good. I was wondering what you are using for lighting? looks very bright

Satellite 2x65w. It is made by a company called Current USA in Vista. I ordered from Marine Depot. It has a dual daylight bulb (6700k/10000k) and dual actinic (420nm/460nm). I will probably replace with the same bulbs, I like the colors.

Colin, do you have an emerald crab? Those little guys would do a # on your algae. I had a bit of what looked to be whats growing in your tank, threw an emerald crab in there and havnt seen that algae since. Their awesome little creatures too.

im afraid they would catch my little neon clown goby. my chromis also sleep in the rocks.

I didnt even know that was a possibility. I have 3 chromis, a flame angel, a maroon clown, and a pink spotted goby that all sleep in the rocks and I havnt had a problem.

Maybe some others can chime in. Mr.Krispy was the one that recommended I get one for my algae. I think Nalbar is a fan of emeralds too. Maybe they could shed some light on the situation?

Hey man careful with emeralds. I had a 10 gal nano that had some bubble algae, my emerald ate it all. Then he went after all my xenia- that wasn't cool, esp. because that was like 2 1/2 years ago, it seemed like pom pom xenia was hard to come by back then.

Yep, thats the one i got from you. I have a hard time remembering how much stuff grows. I would guess nearly double the (would you call them polyps? tenticles?)
