I want to move a wall in my house about 2 ft toward the center of the house. How can I tell if it is a load-bearing wall? Who wants to help me do this?? I have some nice green palys and some ice-cold beer. :p

If you figure out how and just need man power I'll help.

Thanks, I am really inept at this stuff, so I am planning to hit the books and learn how to frame, wire, drywall, etc. However, I know that a little experience is better than a bunch of book-larnin'.

The canopy fit just right, now I just need to decide whether to transfer my 2x55W PCs or buy some shiny new 4x24 T5s.

You wouldn't have access to the building plans would you?

Hm - is this one of the single story houses built in the 1940's along Mira Mesa?

I could probably figure it out. PM me.

Nope this place was built in '73 by who knows who. Does the county keep residential building plans that far back?

Not sure.
