Well, I never knew that setting up an upgrade tank would be so time consuming. It is fun though.

Anyway, this is a 90 AGA tank with 1 internal overflow.

This is just a wall of rocks, nothing special.

I have a total of 3 fans. These are the quiet 120 mm Stealth fans. I only have them running on 9 volts. They can be ran on 12 volts but I want to decrease the noise level. I can put them up to 12 volts whenever I want because they are hooked up to multiple volts AC-DC adapter.
Two fans in the back blows fresh air inside the canopy and the middle fan blow hot air to the back and outside of the canopy.

Here is my Koralia Hydor 1. Flow rate is only 400 GPH so it is not that great. I am just using this temporarily until I receive my Tunze nanostream 6045.

Very nice. How's the heat in the tank been so far?

Amazingly, the highest temp has only been 80.7 degrees. It helps to have 3 stealth fans cooling down two 250 watts DE phoenix 14K bulbs supplemented with two 54W 11000K Aquablue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent by Giesemann...with IceCap reflectors.

It also helps that it is still winter time.

The tank is bright!

No, I bought the whole set up (tank, canopy, and stand) from Petco. Just go to the Escondido Petco and you will see one on display just like mine.

I have no fish in the tank right now but here are some of the fish I am planning to get.

1. Flame Angel (50% risk but I will take that risk)
2. Small yellow tang
3. Anthias (but not know which one is compatible and hardy)

I already have the royal gramma, blue tang, 6-line wrasse, psychedelic mandarine, and orange percula clown in my in-wall 40 gallon tank so I want to get some new type of fish.

Do you guys have any suggestion on pretty fish (but reef safe) that I should have?

What size sump do you have on that tank? And how loud is the water going down to it? Any pics of the plumbing etc.

I hate to say this but the tank was cycled for only 1 day then I put 90% of those corals in, including all those sps that you see there. I added the other 10% (mushrooms and a few other zoos) the second day.

I always read that you have to cycle your tank. However, I have never cycled mine. I always put my corals in 1 day after I put the salt water in. I did the same with my 40 gallon tank.

This is the one main rule that I break in reef keeping.

Gulp! Ared the rocks new or did some of it come from your old tank?

Part of me has the same feeling. :D

The rocks are actually new but I bought them from a member on here who has been curing the rock in his garage for about 2 months so the rocks are very clean. He has a powerhead running so the rocks are alive but most of the coraline are gone so I need some time for them to come back.

It looks in the first picture like there's one blue bulb and one white... have you switched them out since the picture?

Thanks.

Most of the people that see the tank keep asking me when I will put some fish in there. They actually look at my 40 gallon in-wall tank longer than they do with my new 90 gallon tank.

Can't wait to put some fish in there.

Good observation. That is true. I switched my two 2-month-old Aqualine Bushke 250 DE 10,000 K MH to the brand new Phoenix 14,000 K MH bulbs and instead of one ATI pure actinic and one 11,000K T5 bulbs, I took out the ATI pure actinic and now have two 11,000K T5 bulbs. I don't want to have too blue of a tank due to the phoenix bulbs.

About 150 lbs.

Looking back at these older images is funny because so many things have changed since then.
