So Anyways, my 40 sprung a leak last week and I am using it as an excuse to Semi Upgrade a few Gallon. Anyways, I just ordered my tank with Marlon over at Pet Kingdom. I know you guys are probably sick of my tank whoring, but I swear I will keep this for a longer period....ummmm...yeah.

So Far:

Tank Dimension:
36"Long x 18" Wide and 22" Tall

Left Corner Overflow.

(Much better aquascaping than my current 40)

- Picked up a nice 36" Stand and Canopy from Jeff sunday.

- Picked up a 20 Long from OG that I will be using as a sump/Prop Tank
(I'm planning to use half of the sump (30" Long) as a prop setup with a 250 Watt SE Metal Halide)

Here is a sketch of how i'm planning to setup the rocks. I'm planning to do a reef wall with plating montis and cros around the middle edges.

if something happens to the sump, you'll have to drain everything in order to remove it from the stand..... nice layout BTW... very sweet

Here is a tentative sump design. Obcourse there will be ball balves on the drain and the return.

Yeap, got that covered. I'm cutting a slot on the right side of the stand where I can easily slide the sump in and out if I need to.

i have an 65 which is just a bit taller than that and i would say get it eurobraced.i love the look of this tank but the center brace is glass and rather large.its also way to hard to keep the glass clean and with 1 light in the center youll be happier with the euro brace.HtH

OMG Nick.....

Lol, I won' say it. :)

Looks like a nice layout. 250w over a ~ 4 gallon area? Yikes.

Mine won't have any center bracing, I asked for a thicker glass. Oh and my lighting is dual HQI. http://www.marineandreef.com/products/RCU01163_SM.jpg Even if I have a center brace, it won't affect the mh. :)

Just keeping it simple. Super Skimmer 65, 2 Hydor Koralia for Flow and a single 250W MH, planning to use a ushio 6500k. Right now its a curing tank for some LR for the 62. I'm planning to stock SPS in the center and begginer corals on the side walls. Oh and the plugs I got them at the same place, it was $10 bucks for a bag of 20 I believe.

I'm re-doing my Sump area, I think I have enough room behind my new tank which I was promised to be here by thursday (6-8) for a small frag rack. So I'm including a Refugium area with a 6"+ DSB and a bundle of Chaeatomorpha). I'm calculating that the tank will be ready, plumb and running by saturday....I'm very excited :)
