Have any of you guys ever ordered fish from a website or magazine???
such as thatfishplace.com or dr.fostersandsmith.com??
very good assortment though
What was the experiance??

i wouldnt like to take a chance to pay a crapload of money for shiping
and alot more for the fish themselves and have them arrive in a musshy like

got fish through a group buy from saltwaterfish.com and it was great.
Yolo got the hook up with them and from time to time he puts up with the hassle and puts a group buy together.

they ship overnight to guarantee live arivals. Container???

you pay that, no tax, plus $3 total for shipping and handling...never had a bad day, they seem to stick with it on issues. But the "menu" is limited. After a while, you get everything they have on sale. Good place to get peppermints, lawnmowers, and emerald crabs..but then after you have enough of those...whats next...

I haven't ordered fish but I did order frozen food from drsfostersmith.com. It arrived on time and frozen.. I didnt have any issues at all..

reeftopia.com has some cool stuff - - but at the same time - - they have a limited variety & once you have picked what they offer ...

good deals if you go to the lot prices section - - i've picked up ricordias, fish, fighting conchs from them as well as cool snails & crabs (both hermits & emeralds).

anyway - for what it's worth.

organized two orders from fragglereef.com and very pleased with both of those also.

I was in on one of the Fragglereef orders and got a clam which is doing excellant and an acan frag that may or may not survive. Maurice at Fraggle wanted me to keep him updated on how it does and I am sure that they would take care of it if it doesn't live. Any mail ordeer place that is worth doing business with will have a decent policy on live arrivals. I have had alot of livestock shipped to me with great results.
