Too much fun tonight...lost power at a little before 6...was worried about water temp but mostly current, CO2 in the water. Just about to go for plan "B" (Jack Daniels) when the power finally came back...

I'm out of town for a week or so at the end of this month...gonna have someone watching my tanks (under written directions)...but, I'll need someone to be on call JIC something major happens. :D

Any volunteers? I'll do the same for you anytime. Maybe we can work out something if you get called, etc.

Anyway, the power failure was a non event since I have no overflows or sumps. Timers a bit off, everything a bit ticked off, but thats about it.

I'll be gone from the 24th of Jan returning Feb 2nd.

I will do the dixie cup thing in the freezer for food and label topoff water jugs with the appropriate days to dump.

In case they panic or something happens, it would be great to have someone they can call.

I'll get back to you all as it gets closer...going to Dominica to crew on a sailboat for a week. Could not pass up that opportunity...all I had to do was come up with a plane ticket.

Do those disposible underwater cameras work any good? I'm going lowkey, backpack only, so I don't want any high-end gear, but I am taking mask, snorkle, fins...any ideas on an inexpensive underwater photo setup?

Go to REI the have cheap underwater camera's they are like the disposables but you can change the film. That way you dont have to take five disposables.

They take fare to good photo's. Just make sure you clean the seal good each time you change rolls of film

Mike, you have my # if you all 20 ppl ahead of me don't pick up.
Side note 1- Totally forgot about Sunday, you free tomorrow anytime after ~4ish?
Side note 2- I have an underwater 35mm camera if you want to borrow it. Basically it's just a waterproof oldschool SLR, but you can't change the lense. Yours to borrow if you promise not to break it :D
