I need to setup a dedicated circuit for my aquarium. Every time we go to use the oven we trip the circuit breaker. I got one estimate for 700 dollars. Any electricians out there who can give me an estimate?
Is this a fair price?

Too many unknowns to make a decision but $700 sounds reasonable for a typical installation (existing panel has capacity for an additional circuit). I would clarify with any electrician proposing to do the work that the price includes repair of all drywall, mouldings, etc. Also be sure you understand and are comfortable with the proposed installation method. Do they propose to install conduit on the outside of the house and drill through the wall? Will they run wiring inside the walls? Make sure they are licensed and check if any subs are proposed. I wouldn't want an electrician patching stucco holes (no offense to electricians :))

repairing the dry wall, fishing the wire, and climbilng in your attic is such a headache that doing it for less than 700$ is nothing short of an act of kindness.
you just have to know and electrician that likes you.

That's why I think the quote he got is basically for running a conduit on the outside of the house and drilling through the wall where the outlet will be. A lot cheaper labor wise but looks bad on a house IMO.

a SDreefs electrician could probably keep busy with side jobs for a year if they wanted to do all the work for reefers on this board!
