After much reading and debating, I downloaded the firmware 3.01. It is supposed to prevent homebrew games from working, but I figure a hack will come out soon enough.

The new firmware, has RSS, browser, supports flash, music, etc. Pretty cool.

Next on my list is a GPS addon when it is released in the states :D
