which router do you guys use for your home/office?

My linksys router just died on me last night. Was up late with tech support from linksys, but nothing they can do.

Linksys or netgear would be good. If you want to set yourself up real good.......get the "Wireless N" router. Of course then you would need to get an "N" card for your laptop or desktop.

which one, the wrt300n model? I read some where says that there are still lots bugs to work out on that router and it didn't perform as expected. Even the tech support guy didn't recommand it. He recommanded the model been out for a while, if I remember the model number right, it is wrt54gl.

I probably should wait and see for a little while or if someone have a used one really cheap for the mean time

I was at compusa the other day and they had netgear for 19.99 wired and 29.99 wireless routers. If you needed to replace it quick they could be a cheap solution.

Don't buy linksys, their products have been crap for the last 2 years.

Go D-Link, netgear, or US robotics.

Wireless N is great but a bit pricey right now since the technology is just hitting the market. I would go with a MIMO wireless G router and card from the above companies mentioned. They work very well and are almost as fast as the N spec coming out, and also backwards compatible with wireless G and B.

N standard is also a bit flakey right now.

Linksys Cable Modem w/Broadband Router and two phone ports for VOIP.
I also have a Linksys Wireless G Router I use for Online Gaming.

Linksys has been good to me so far..
