Well,

with the gracious assistance of Brady, (thanks for bringing me all the water!!), my 90 gallon tank is well on it's way to success. I got the sump and return pump working to push some water around for awhile to ensure everything is functioning properly. Just got done installing the MH's, 2 400 watters!! Looks pretty good so far. Jay left me some "live" sand in the bottom but it doesn't look like it's enough. Can I add new live sand over the top of this stuff?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks again Brady!!

Carl

Yes, you can certainly add in some more sand. Slowly and carefully mix it together (I say slowly only so it won't kick up huge clouds of sediment) so the 'live' is more evenly distributed

It's best to rinse sand first, to get small dust out, unless you have sugar-fine sand. After that, let it dry, and pour the sand down a tube to direct it where you want, and to avoid too much spread.
