Looks good Mike! I know your SCWD is temporary but you can modify it to have minimal losses. I move the same amount of water with a Rio 3100 after modification as I did with the 3100 plus a Rio 8HF! Also, I would lose that black poly tubing and go with spaflex for the return lines. Spaflex allows you to use pvc fittings which are larger diameter (less losses) than those tubing fittings. Plus you can glue it so you dont have to worry about clamps coming loose. Let me know if you want some. I have some extra 3/4" and 1" laying around.

Thanks Rick, I'll let you know once I test the system with water to see what kind of loss occurs.

what lighting set up do you currently have and also what type of bulbs do you use?

currently I run a 4 foot 6 bulb t5 tek light and a 250w halide in a lumenarc stealth reflector.....but I plan on removing the tek and replacing it with 3 48" t5s along the front of the tank, and 2 24" t5s on the back (no light over the overflow box) then have the Halide on a light mover.....new project when I get some money but it should work out nice

I thought about that and may still do it.....though I'd want waterproof endcaps

the reflectors are connected....and I don't remember what ballasts...I should have taken a picture when I had it apart on the first day....wanted to see how it was put together ;)
