$19 pH tester @ AES - Share shipping?

Aquatic Eco-Systems [FL] has "Mini pH Checker by Hanna" [page 55 of their catalog, www. aquaticeco.com part # 98103]

The price is unbeatable - $19 !!

The hitch: their minimum shipping is 5lb ground = $10

So - if we get a group buy, we can share the shipping costs. 10 probes -> $1 shipping.

where would i get that? is that just distilled water?

no no no, calibration solution is a chemical with a precise pH. You need two solutions at least, sometimes you can use 3. The pH of the solutions is like 7.0, 10.01, 4.0 etc...
They are cheap and you can buy them online at most aquatic stores. A $20 pH probe seems sketchy though....

Correct.
You need to get two calibration fluids [7pH and either 10 or 4 pH]. This is standard for all pH meters. Tri-city Tropical here is N. County sells 4 oz bottles for $6/each. I'm sure they can be found cheaper.

All PH Probes should be calibrated before use and as regular maintenance. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the pH solutions are no problem, AW (usually) carries 'em for about $5/bottle, and each bottle has enough fluid for a bunch of calibrations.
