View Full Version : New 24 Gallon Aquapod

I moved up from my 11 gallon Via Aqua to the 24 Gallon Aquapod with 70 watt HQI... I am running it with an AquaC Remora skimmer with MJ1200 and MJ1200 for return pump, plus MJ 400 for surface agitation.

Corrals include: Paggota, different zoos, yellow polyps, GSP, pink and green frogspawn, pink hammer, mixed shrooms, candy cane, open brain, red monti cap frag, couple of leftover ricordias...

Let me know what you think! Thanks to Onad75 and ChillyWilly for some of the corals... IckyRich supplied the two Percs about a year ago...

how do you like the aquapod what are you doing for a skimmer ???

I like the aquapod. I don't really have anything else to copare it too other than an aqua via 11 gallon... It's like comparing a pinto to an escalade. However, I truly like it. I was having heat issues (Up to 85.9 degrees), so I took off the glass lid and started running a little fan (vornado zippi) (http://www.shop.com/op/aprod-p25479721-k24-g4-~zippi+fan-nover?sourceid=3) as a ghetto chiller... now I never rise above 82.3 The corals love the added light though.

As for a skimmer, an AquaC Remora skimmer fits perfectly in the back filtration compartment.

P.S. I saw a thread on here, I forget who posted it, about the zippi fan. Thank you whoever you are! It has helped my tank a lot!

i had considered it and saw a 24g one today and am prolly going to get rid of my 11g the 11 is too small

I like the arrangement. Nice "Elephant Ear" its a huge piece. :)
