Cool site guys! The "Southern California Reefers" thread in RC is kinda uptight to me. So I have been finding myself coming here more...

Anyway, here's a few pics of my 54 gal corner:

Great looking tank. What kind of lights are you running on the corner bow?

your lighting looks far from natural but then again so do your corals. it's not natural to have corals that nice! HAHA :p great looking specimens you got in there. i love the acan colony. ever try to make frags yet?

Thanks for all the kind words...

I'm using URI VHO's: 2 x super actinics & 2 x white actinics. No MH's in the tank. The Acan colony is my prized coral. There is a long line of peeps who want me to frag it. It took me almost a year to bring it back to health. The previous owner had no idea what it was and kept it in his sump! I rescued it for $30. Anyway, hope to have more fun in this site than in RC.

I must warn you acanthastrea have been known to crawl out of your tank at nite and eat small childern.. It would be much safer with me.

I don't think it could handle my 2 month old daughter's slobber attack. It would dissolve the flesh right off the coralite.:D Chewing toys and plush stuffed animals have fallen by the way side to this devestating attack of hers.

wow, that has to be one of the most beautiful tanks i have seen. and the fact that it is a corner bow only adds to that. very nice set-up and good choice on the lighting i use the same for my tank and you get some color out of those VHO's.
