Almost year after I sold my 500 to danny, I felt like I had to jump back into the hobby. I decided to go with a 24 gallon nano cube just to help with the urge to go with a nice big tank again. But nope, Im prob gonna get another big tank within the next couple of months or so. This nano will be mainly sps dominated with prob some polyps and lps. I removed the weak stock lighting and added a 150 watt hqi mh, went with more flow, and coverted the back chambers to a fuge and lr. Im also running a remora skimmer on it that is kicking ass. The tank is still young but looking good. Theres been an explosion of pods after dosing phyto and oyster pearls.

sweet nano man. The same thing happened to me last year when I broke down my big tank and started a nano, but once you start up again. Most of the time, you'll be wanting to jump back and get a bigger tank.

haha for sure, it hasnt even been a month yet and Im almost out of room..I wonder what this nano will look like in the long term, Im not sure if it would be able to support so many growing corals...we'll see, ima lay low for now and look out for a sweet deal on my next tank..

green and red cap from original colony in my 125

when i recieved it a couple of week ago, the green cap was bleached white with no polyp extension and it looked almost dead, a couple of weeks later, its original green color is coming back. I say a month before its full recovery.
The red cap was really faded and bleached to a light pink color. Now its an awesome hot pink color with full polyp extensions.

You're going to upgrade by the summer and when you do, dibs on this tank.

No way. You have to wait at least 8 months before doing a Comeback Tank.

Mike... post a pic of the whole setup. I wanna see your stand and light fixture in full effect.

What a strange tank progression... 125->500->24.

whatever

tank looks good-
I like it. If I ever have to sell my 125 (probably once I get home) and get kicked to the curb. I will consider buying one of these. Sweet setup.
