Got to thinking about the silliest, dumbest things you have bought or come across! I’ll start:
Just saw this today.. an “ infrared fish net”. The netting is red & the package claims that fish can’t see red so it’s much easier to sneak up on them & catch!
TOP THAT!!

Purchased a frag from a local coral shop and the guy gave me a “killer discount”; I was really stoked on the deal until I went home and saw the same frag on their website for cheaper :(

I was given some frag plugs with small "globs" on them by a friend who is breaking down his system. They were supposed to be high end shrooms. The plugs had been in a garage sump with no light for a while so I wasn't expecting them to look like anything special. I went home and very, very slowly acclimated them over several hours and put them in my tank. It was late and lights were out but after work the next day I checked them out and I had carefully acclimated some plugs of coral fix. There was nothing on the plugs! LOL!

Few years back I sold a 4x3x3” Rock densely packed with green zoanthids out of my tank for $40. I felt like I got a fair price for the rock.

Few years later was looking back at pics of my tank and realized that rock had been completely covered in RASTA’s!! Easily worth several hundred.. FML
