Very nice tank and very beautiful Copperband Butterfly fish. How long have you had her/him?

Hi,

I have one of these. They all work fairly simmilar. To really get it set it helps to have a pH meter. I'll have some free time this weekend. Let me know If I can help.

Those pH levels are right. Test for alkalinity and calcium levels. At times I've seen calcium levels high, and low alkalinity. I would dose a little B-Ionic #1 to touch it up. You may also want to test for phosphates. Depending on the medium you are using in the reactor, it is possible to be slowly releasing phosphate into the tank which will retard corals calcification. Other than that you should be fine! DD

How long have you had the copper band? That has to be the coolest fish I have ever had.

ok i tested like i said i would:
amonia 0
ph 8.4 (meter is the same reading)
nitrites 0
nitrates 10 (which is good for me normally i have been testing at 40)
phos .5 (running eco phos, just started it today)
cal 500
kh 9
alk 3.2 (i know it's low, how much bionic #1 should i dose?)

am i doing something wrong to have lost all my sps?
i changed all my lights the other day, actinics and mh.
today i did a 20 gallon water change and changed my calcium reactor media to knop koralith media.
cleaned my filter socks, like i said running eco phos in one of them and a bag of carbon in the other.

HELP!!!!!!!
