What’s everyone’s thoughts on these. I’ve got Ai hydra 52s x3 I’ve never ran t5s but have wanted to. This seems like a pretty simple and cheap ($300for the fixture) way to add four bulbs and keep my current LEDs https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171118/574a8d6be4949898462cda901792017f.jpg

Got 3 AI 26s on the 48- was my first T5 too; definite difference in growth over the last couple weeks running the t5s for 5hrs a day. It’s not perfect but I like it. Main complaint with the mount that I echo is the cords for the plugs are too short and they run on opposite sides of the mount.

Yeah I was just reading that about the cords that kind sucks I don’t want to look at cords one would be ok but two and then the three Ai cords 😩

It does come with clamps to run the cords alongside the mount but unless you have outlets in your ceiling or in your canopy, you’ll need extensions and if you don’t have outlets on both sides, you’ll need to run one side all the way across the back and neither cord provided is long enough (bizarre flaw) That said, it isn’t terrible... it comes with enough mounts for 3 52s and some extra kessil mounts that you could probably trade for coral ;)

I wonder if t can be taken apart and made into one long cord running both lights. I don’t have a canopy and I want to plug into my apex to control the t5s I’ll have to think about it. My other option is go all out and grab the giesemann aurora hybrid but I can’t see myself shelling out 2700 on one fixture

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk for 2700 you could. Pay an electrician to custom wire an outlet up high, rewire the t5 lights and pick up your clothes from the dry cleaners.

I know! right now I just want to drop 1200 to upgrade the two of my three hydra 52 to the 52 HD. And then add this hybrid t5 option and get bulbs I’m looking at 1800 there anyway so why not spend 300 more and have the giesemann aurura 48 for 2100. I mean it makes sense I think!

They are on sale on MD black Friday. Not sure is that helps.

I tried them for my gen4 x30 pro radions but couldn't mount perpendicular to light so I returned them. Was hoping it was going to work.

It would've helped with less shadowing.

I see they are on see in a lot of places but have only found one that has them in stock. And after starting to do research I think I’ve talked myself into getting an aurora

I installed my Aquatic Life Hybrid this week. The cords are short but the light is an easy install. I was also considering going with a Giesmann fixture but the price was too much too justify. Getting this fixture allows me to keep my Hydra 52’s and adding that T5 supplementation of T5’s which is really nice. Very happy so far with my purchase.

Nice looking set up! I think I’ve justified the giesemann actually by the time I sell off the hydras three hms hangers and director id be at less of a cost than if I bought this aquatic life and two new had hydras. Plus it looks so much nicer than the aquatic life fixture.
