View Full Version : My first saltwater tank

It all started when i went to petco to buy a canary, seeing that I didnt want to pay $100 for the canary and $150 for the cage and stuff, i went to look at the fishes saw their saltwater setup and from there on i was hooked. $1300 later this is what i have so far....

Nice, clean look, I got a kick out of how you went from $250 to $1300. This hobby is addicting :D

ha! nice, but you spent $1050 trying to save $250!!! good move to a better hobby!!! =) i have TWO LOUD A$$ parrots and they ANNOY me. one conure and one amazon. frikken a hole!!!

Yeah when i think about it, i wonder if i made the right choice but its more entertaining watching my fish swim than watching a bird sit on a stick doing nothing. I would have more money in my pocket but i'm happy with my fishies. Good thing for craigslist and this website, or else i would of payed so much more, but i've gotten good deals. So i've been lucky

Thanks guys, well the tank is 125 gallons 72 x 18 x 24, the refugium is 30 x 18x 14.5, i have an odesy protein skimmer, it has two overflows, the pump it has its a Gen x pump. Honestly guys i'm new to all of this i'm going baby steps, i'm just going to do a fish only for right now cause there might be a chance of me moving to chicago later on but if i dont i will do a reef. I still dont know what kind of fish i want to put in yet i do know i want some clownfish, all i have right now are two damsels and a blue hippo tang who hasnt gotten used to its new home. Well thanks guys for all your comments.
