i finally got my main tank up and running. it only took me bout 2 weeks with my procrastination...he he.
so i re-aquascaped, cleaned the sand, PS, intake screen, and rocks. it looks so empty :o( right now....*sigh*

Ditch the PC's and add a couple 110w actinic VHO's. You will be very happy with the results and the temps are so much cooler. We did that with Kari's 55 (dual 250's and dual 110w VHO) it looks awesome and never gets over 80°.

Why not just go with the T5 lights? They run MUCH cooler at half that wattage.

Yup, T5's run much cooler, but nothing matches the blues you get from VHO super actinics(URI)...just my 2 cents

Yea, I'm ditching my 96 watt pc's for 4- 54 watt t5's on my 55. I'm a t5 fan now.
