Hey guys,

I was wondering if there are any good suggestions for active fish that could fit in my NUVO 16. I currently have a clown, pistol shrimp/randall goby pair. Need to add some more activity in here. Thanks!

Maybe another clown and some damsels. . You can also add some pulsating xenia since they open and close. The mixtures of colors will also be nice.

I'm trying to go with more fish. Was thinking about a 6 line wrasse but I heard those things are trouble after a while. I want something vibrant that swims a lot.

There's a bunch of smaller gobies you can try grab a cleaner wrasse they are super active and cool fish.

True, the xenia will take over.

Damsels swim a lot and don't take up too much room.

A nem for the clowns will make them swim around a lot. Mine are always in and out of their nem.

Tangs are cool but your tank is fairly small....Maybe a yellow tang but they usually require more space

Damsels are b@stards that will kill your other fish. At least the blue damsels are, I hate them.

Firefish pair would be great for adding some activity :)

I'm a huge fan of Midas blennies. They say a 30g for them but if the tank is long enough you should be good

Could add one of the wetmorella possum type wrasses, they're mellow and look nice.

Give it some time. May come out later. They can be mean to other fish too.

Give it some time. May come out later. They can be mean to other fish too.my coral beauty is alpha him and the royal gramma go at it every so often by far the bravest of fish in my tank.
But not aggressive to a point of removing . In a small tank could be a different story. Simple non aggressive fish. Are. Clown Goby and cleaner wrasse which is active and cleans my arm or hand while in the tank an lawnmower or starry blenny is pretty active clowns chromis neon gobies etc

I would go with the six line...one of the most active fish with lots of personality. I have never had any problems with them being bullies, especially if you add him last!

Thanks guys for the input. I really appreciate it! I think I'm going to choose between the white banded possum wrasse or the 6line. Because I already have the randall's goby, I dont want to cause any conflict putting another one in.

I second the pygmy wrasse's. I had a tanaka's and it was shy for about a month but then became very active and would greet me everytime I approached the tank. I had mine for about 4 years before he decided to jump out of my tank w/ lid. No idea how he managed to get out. I found him half dried up on the floor 5' away.
Warning though, they do like dwarf certs and will eat them all.
