JBJ 3 gal picotope SHOWDOWN!!!!!!

This will be the thread for the SHOWDOWN, rules are as follows:

1-The only tank to be used is the jbj 3 gallon Picotope
2-You must use the equipment provided, tank (un-modified), light and filter
3-The only extra equipment allowed will be a heater, chiller and ATO if you choose, NOTHING else equipment wise
4-Everyone who wants to participate needs to put a FTS of there tank getting wet between March 15 to March 20, just to be fair to all no let entries will be allowed.
5-The first 3 months will be for establishing the tank after June 15th the tanks will than grow out for 2 months
6-On August 15th everyone will post there FTS and there will be a 48hour vote held where people can vote on who has the sharpest looking pico.

Yep, we can use dead or live, I'm doing the same thing, dead sand and hopefully I can find some live rock or put a scoop of sand from my normal tank in there to get it going.

Update on my pico: equipment: smart ATO micro (beast) and all equipment provided with the tank with chemi-pure in the filter and a sponge on the intake of the filter (don't want to suck up any seahorses)
Current livestock:2 male dwarf seahorses, 2 female dwarf seahorses, 4 small different mushroom corals, 2 snails, 1 tiny sexy anemone shrimp, 1 purple gorgonian, 6 different macros.
Tank is doing good all and all had some diatoms pop up, but no big deal.

Nothing changed from the last picture as far as contents, but I just tested my ammonia and it is 0 ppm, so I'll probably throw a little coral in there and see how it does under the light!

check to see if your phone is locked in one orientation or not....or when you take pics vertically but like try to move your phone to landscape mode sometimes the phone doesn't pick it up and think its still portrait...i've had that issue before as well..

I will take a pic later tonight, I am cooking some dinner and gonna do a water change!

I had a question - is anyone getting coralline? I put some bits of coralline rock and shell in mine and it bleached and died slowly. I am wondering if the lighting is too weak, or flow maybe.

I severely trimmed my macros and it kind of messed up both my tanks, but they have since recovered, so that is good.

Alright guys, sorry for not posting many pics. Nothing has changed except I trimmed my caulerpa and then I got an algae bloom.

And my sea cucumber died last night (got sucked into the filter)

I just used a water bottle to skim the surface. I am just gonna put this in once in a while to skim the surface off. If I can find some suitable tube I might make a permanent one.

Alright folks today was the last day to add livestock to your pico, mine is ready to go for the grow out stage with 2 small pipefish, 1 dwarf seahorse, 1 sexy anemone shrimp, 3 turbo snails, a small mushroom garden consisting of 8 different shrooms, and 4 different macros, I would upload a pic but I am having issues adding pics, I'm still fighting some algae but it's definitely better than a month ago, updates folks!!!! Lol

Sorry for the delay, everyone still in the contest post some FTS we will hold a vote here on the boards 48 hours to vote than I will tally them up, I haven't heard back yet about the clownfish that where going to be prizes so I will tell you what, since my pico tank crashed due to work and other BS factors and I sold it to hector so he could bring it back to life I will provide a prize to the winner and runner up to make it worth it, the winner will get to pick one of 3 things and second place will get to pick something out of the remaining 2 items:
Colony of 20+ SCC sunrise Sakura Zoas, I have had these for about 2 years they are very hardy...

I like sushi's. The plastic bottle makes it look more realistic. Like I'm down at Coronado or Fiesta Island. Really has that natural, homey feel. Dreamkeepers looks too perfect. Like a screensaver or a magazine article.
