Water is cloudy, glass is still dirty after vinager (HELP?), but here she is. Everything sorta lost it's color after being in the QT tank under PCs for about a week. But hopefully everything will brighten up under the t5s. And the carpet is sort of pissed off.

good job cousin! hey ur tank is the same dimensions as mine...but wider by 2". dang thats a nice monti cap! dant that foam wall looks cool! hmm...wonder if i can construct one out of the tank...then add it in...think there would be a prob with water chemistry if i do that?

sdfish, it should be... if you're not aware, t5s are almost as good as MH... the only thing is they can't penetrate as deep into the water.

I have a few T-5's laying around the question was about sps don't you need more for them?? 96W if thats all I need time to can the 250 MH's..

my tank is shallow, so it should be no problem. But there's a bunch of tanks that are just T5s with SPS. check out dananos

the thing with T5s is you need INDIVDUALS reflectors inorder for it work hard enough for SPS.

if you haven't seen.. these tanks really inspired me to use t5s

So the Tek reflectors are the way to go.

ninhsavestheday

well... there was a study over @ RC that said that aqualux and IC reflectors has 10% greater PAR than Tek's. But then again, TEK reflectors already increase the output of the lighting by 300%. HTH

i just read blue + (actnic i use in my tank) has the same PAR as 10k bulbs.

How do the colors look now? Is the foam still holding up, or have you noticed deterioration?
