I decided to start a thread about my tank..nothing too special as I just recently got into the hobby. Picked up a tank from a fellow reefer earlier this year. Thought it would be cool to look back on my first tank for future reference..

As stated above, I picked up my first tank (rimless Oceanic 29 gallon biocube) from a fellow reefer earlier this year (January 2016). As a beginner, I came into a hobby willing to learn from all the advanced beginners and professionals. Cycling and preparing for my first tank felt forever, which I'm sure most of you know the feeling..

It's been about a month and a half since I've had established my tank. I currently have the following; ~25-30 lbs of live rock, 20 lbs of live sand, two (2) snowflake clowns, lawnmower blenny, goby/pistol shrimp pair, cleaner shrimp, misc CUC, and a few corals here and there. As far as equipment goes, I have the also have the following; maxijet 1200 return pump, AquaticLife 115 protein skimmer, and Chinese LEDS. I plan to order an InTank media basket to place in the second chamber and maybe a fuge basket as well (if necessary)? I'm pretty much set with my livestock and can't wait until its fully established with growing corals.

It's pretty late and I don't have any current pictures, but will post tomorrow when lights are on..I'd like to receive some feedback from fellow reefers as far as my rockscape goes and any advice for a beginner.

Thanks again and happy reefing!

So these past few days have been pretty busy for me, so I haven't had the chance to post any pics. Anyways, here are a few pics I took over the weekend. Can anyone spot my goby? haha
