Well guys this is my new tank and it happens to be a nano. I figured i started working at a new store so i might as well build something while im getting used to the place. So be gentle there is not much in the tank and it will be a work in progress as you will soon see.

Tank: 24g Aqua Pod (stock as of now)
Lighting:
Current USA 70watt HQI 14k
6 white LEDs
6 blue LEDs

Filtration:
Fission skimmer (I'm kinda giving this product a test for myself)
Soon to have upgraded pump to Rio 1400 and 1/2 in. bulk head on 1/2 in. loc line w/2 flares.

Heating:
Ebo Jager 50watt heater

Substrate:
20lbs oolitic grade live sand

LR:
Who knows how many lbs of cooked various types

I set this up using Oceanic brand salt mix and RO water.
Water parameters were checked 4 days after initial rock was added and read amonia: 0
nitrate: 0
nitrite: 0
Ca: 450
alk: 12 dkh
ph: 8.3
temp: 77.5 degrees F (this i am not happy with as i want it to stay at 76 even and with the hailde on it brings it up about a degree and a half at most on hot days.

The super nice green/red striped Acan lords are from Mike and the orange crush is cherrie picked from the store.

Im assuming that I will have orange crush frags in about 3 months. The Acan Echinata has been in the tank for a little over a week and i have 6 new polyps.

Im working at Crystal Cove now, it really is a new experiance for me and I am learning alot about the business aspect of how to make things run efficently. I too want to have my own store within the next 5 years. This might have just been the next best step in that direction. I still can't thank Matt enough for the time i had at The Fish Room hes a real stand up kinda guy and im glad he didnt hold any hard feelings for letting me move into another direction..

been moving around alot. my 7 gallon is still up, but I gave it to relatives, been over 2 years without a crash. I created a 10gal sps tank, gave that one to my neices (pain to move stuff). Now im starting a simple 5 gallon until i stop renting and get something bigger. If you ever come down south you'll have to stop by for a drink. You still racing that eclipse btw?

I sold the eclipse and bought an Evo VIII and put about 30k into it in mods alone now its up for sale. Im focusing on aquariums only right now. That and riding BMX a bit for some outside fun... When i can find the time to get down that way i will check it out. As of right now its a little insane up this way. New place and a wedding on Sat...

I have new stuff in the tank and new updates will be up tomorow. Mike has frags of the green and red i will have some of the orange in a few months. For now on fish its the sixline that in the tank and some various harder to find gobies im trying to get ahold of..

Sweet Tank Bro! I like the rockwork. Is the tank at the store or at your pad? So I noticed that you want your H2O to be at 76 degrees. I thought it was better to be around 79~80? What am I missing? Please enlighten me, O master-keeper-of-the-fishes.... :-)

Calcificatioin happens better at lower temps. I belive 77 is best so i keep mine 76-78 max temp. Most people think there tanks are doing better for the reason that corals open more at higher temps when it really comes down to they are expelling heat from them the only way they can..

This tank is also at my new place, once its more stocked (i need to get update shots up) i will have you by to check it out...

I go into Crystal Cove all the time. I live in Hemet, but I go to school right down the street from the store on Thursday nights. I usually get into town from work in SD around 4:30, but my class doesn't start until 6 so I come in and lurk around the store checking out the new stuff for a while.

Strange, I've probably talked to you guys a bunch of times already in the store, I just didn't know you guys were on this board. I'm always in there asking about coral frags for my nano. That huge cube tank you guys have is cool, but there's almost never any smaller peices in there that would fit in my nano.

Anyways, I'll try and meet you guys the next time I'm in there.

Those two rocks we got a few days ago, the bright green zoas and copper zoas, are looking pretty good. (I came in with my brother Tuesday or so)

I want to obviously get some more of the rare color zoas, and also some smaller acan/blasto colonies, with good colors like the ones in your 24, how often do you guys get smaller colonies?

Also, Nigripes man, nigripes! haha

Full tank shot. Sorry I had a massive algae bloom the temp went up a few degrees and the lights were left on for about 16 hours.

I dremeled a whole in the back of the tank and added a 3/4" bulk head with a Y and two lock line flares. Im now running a POS Rio 1400 instead of the SUPER POS pump that it comes with. Much happier with the flow now though.

New zoos along with my sexy. I had a few more frags that where added but I dont have time to take pics now and the tank is still cloudy.

Also I have added a CPR bak pak skimmer to the tank.

Nice! So you went with a 3/4" bulkhead?!? It doesn't look too big. Maybe I should upgrade my two 1/2" bulkheads to 3/4" bulkheads. Hmmm....

I've got plenty of flow in my tank though, so upgrading to 3/4" would be strictly tinkering.

Are you hanging the backpack on the back, or is it going in a chamber? And didn't you try out one of those mini skimmers from nanotuners?

I tried the skimmer from Current that Fission model POS..

The skimmer is being hung off the back in the first chamber it fits damn near perfect. Not really a big deal since im drilling the skimmer to add a chiller to it soon. I was thinking of trying another brand or that nano skimmer from nanotuners.. We will see.

Another fish was added today the 2nd to the three that will be in there total. Pics soon.

Upgraded my halide to 150 watts of goodness. Looks alot better. I like the cost of free also from Current, Ike is a real kewl guy. I got some more goodies from my buddy Jeff and Brooke thanks guys..
