That looks like grapevine wood. That type of wood is not recommended for aquariums. All though it will work it takes awhile to stay submerged and tends to rot after awhile where actual driftwood does not.

I'm pretty sure that is actually what I've seen called spiderwood, perfectly fine.
Nice start, should look great when done.

Hey man,

Looks great. Hope I can get my tank to look that good. You got that moss on the wood branches really fast, are they just tied on?

What kind of plant do you have on the left side, the talll stemmy ones with the green leaves and red underside? I have some of those too I think but I never found out what they were.

Rotalia something lol I'm not good with plant names I just get the tall plants to cover the backside
All the moss is tied down by 100% cotton thread pain in the ass took long lol

This tank still has a long way to go still learning the co2 light balance and also the ferts

I will be doing a small rescape soon

What I love about freshwater is you can load it with fish

Really cool tank. Is that Java moss or some more exotic ones?

I know what you mean about the fish. I just added half a dozen cherry barbs to mine. The red looks great with all the plants. I am going to get a dozen more in a few weeks. You going to do shrimp?

Rescaped my tank today took a long time lol like 3 hours

As far as the moss its just javamoss I run co2 so everything grows pretty quick
