Tim's tank was totally broken down and empty......

Is Tim's yellow tang better off in my very established reef tank OR back at Petco where it came from?
I already have a Big purple tang, chevron tang, 2 blue tangs.....and thats just my tangs !!

It depends on the size of the tank. But a yellow tang would probably be better off in a 20 gal. established reef with an experienced reefkeeper taking care of it temporarily than in a petco tank with a highschool kid that knows nuthin about saltwater fish taking care of it, where it will probably suffer and die.

Marde, you should be arested and I should get as many corals out of your tank as I can stick into my tank.

But if the Cops don't show up, the Tang will be just fine in your set up. They have more than enough room to swim and if they don't pick at each other leave them in there.

What do you need? ...if I have it, Its yours.

The tank is almost 300 gallons of water volume, i wasent going to take it, but felt I should at least give it a shot. I will catch it if it gets beat up over the next few days.

All I have for lights are a couple of retro PC lights that I had before I went to MH. 2 x65 watt PC

I still have 1 X 250 Watt MH with a 2 month old Hamilton 14k Bulb and Icecap ballast, reflector, mogul and wiring ready to go. I hope the tangs get along I had that fish for 2 years before I had to break it down.

After two days of beating the hell out of the yellow tang my 10 year old purple tang finally "hurt himself" trying to show the yellow tang who was boss. He ended up hurting one of his eyes, and got a case of popeye. I think his eye will recover, and now they swim around together like they are best friends.
