2015 Fantasy Football Leagues

Start early this year to make sure everyone can plan and get engaged.

1. Toolset? Yahoo? Fox? ESPN?

2. How many Teams? 8, 10, 12? I think 12 was too many last year.

3. Any custom changes? Two QBs? Default settings? Change so QB Scores more?

4. Amount of Buy-in? $20, $25, maybe a High Roller League?

5. Split of winnings? 1st, 2nd only...3rd? Most points from both leagues if multiple leagues for one overall winner?

6. Default Auto-Draft or Custom Pick Draft? Maybe one and another.

Looks like we had enough interest last year to stock at least two 8 person leagues. Who wants to host? Collect monies through Paypal, etc.

Just sitting there yesterday missing MNF! With the Chargers leaving town, FF might help the transition as you root for a lot of teams and suddenly are engaged in a lot more games.

I went with a premier QB in Peyton Manning and that got me in the Finals but BLANK in any payday.

Marde is the smart one who stuck to base concepts and did the standard. Least amount of changes in the year, stuck it out...good finish.

I thought about that...guess you can set aside a separate $40 or something for overall champ but it would have to be based purely on points. That means someone playing head to head for second place in one league could win overall. Just don't waste your first round pick on Peyton Manning as he will only get you to the playoffs but you won't be able to close the deal...LOL

No, Last Place does not get any sprinkles. There can't be a reward. It gives incentive to let your team go, not replace bye week players, leave injured players in, etc.

Might have someone who is in competition for first to lose to someone who is playing against a team that suddenly realizes they are in last and then remember last place is rewarded.

We were trying to keep the teams down to 10 so needed two sets of ten (20 people) but only 11 paid out so far so it looks like its best to lock it down to 12 and set the league. If someone else wants to get a league going I am sure some people might get into two leagues.

But the date needs to be set for scheduling.

Ok, so we aren't going to mess around with the draft picks since it actually gets a lil messy and I have to enter it in like an hour before draft etc and lock up all the teams, so we will let yahoo pick the order for us.

Next up is DRAFT TIME. Tentatively its set for SATURDAY SEP 5th at 10AM. Is this a problem for anyone? I want everyone to participate in the live draft if possible but if we can't agree on a set time, let's say by this weekend, then we'll stick with this.

This gives everyone plenty of time to plan ahead.

I did a few 12 Team Mock Drafts and the System does a pretty good job of picking teams. Was surprised. You can configure it a lot in advance to put certain player in priority. Like I know you guys want Ryan Matthews for example.

Please provide input so I can finalize everything.

I also think I figured out how to assign draft orders. So if we want a twist this year and do a random draw for positions next week and that gives you a week to plan your draft based on your position. I can do that as well too. This could be good for those that can't make it to the draft live. They can set their queues and players list ahead of time as well.

Let me know what ppl want. Want to make it fun and fair for everyone!

So I'll lock that in tonight. Unless I hear back from anyone else this will be final.

Also since I have a few ppl prefer the random draw positions next week. I will see if I can setup a google hangout at night some time this week and I can do the random draw live.

Hey Marde the draft time has been locked in at 10AM on Sunday...so 7am if you're on the EST. Since it takes awhile we can't change it to be further in the day.
