Captive bred Rose Bta clones

O.K. I need to get some of these guys homes as I have too many (last count 9).

These are proven super healthy clones which have taken over a good portion of my tank.


They eat like & breed like monsters.
$35 for regular size, $45 for large. You pick which one you want . I will sell up to 5. These will clone for you & i will tell you how. PMs please.

Yeah, they are that red. They are solid in every aspect. A megenta foot might have been nice but, you can't have it all....:)

thanks mike! hey is there another power head available that is simliar to the power sweeper that may be more reliable? my power sweeper is always getting stuck and then i gotta take it out of the tank and fiddle with the impeller to get to sweep the curent back and forth

Also, I have successfully kept these & had them clone under 4 X 55 pcs ina 60 gal. The key to success is feeding. They will not retain as rich of color under such lighting. Currently they are under 2 X 250 HQI & 1 X 150 HQI all 20 k AE bulbs.

I have three under PC's (about 5 watts/gal) all are doing well. The oldest I have had for about 5 months and it has grown from 2 inches to six inches across. I feed them silversides and each hosts a clownfish (the big one a 3" Maroon and the two little ones my two true perculas.

My BTA did quite well under pc's for about 3 months, but has done better under halides. No question that they like halides, but should survive with pc's.

No the percs were never going to be in the same tank as the RBTA, the RBTA is for my maroon. I tried to get the percs to go into H.Crispa, but they kept going over to the lta and were all hosting together with my occelaris, I didn't want that because sooner or later they would start fighting so I moved them to my frag tank... good thing to because they aren't very healthy right now.. One of them won't eat.

Just thought I'd post a progress report. Also when you feed them silverside do you cut them in half or just give them the whole thing? Gave mine one about 3" long and the tail is still sticking out its mouth a couple hours later.

just 2x55wPC's for now. Going to upgrade to MH as soon as I can figure out what I want and find a way to pay for it. I was expecting it to move up to the top of my tank to be close to the light. Instead it latched on underneath a ledge and streches up from there when it wants more light. And since it still has the nice bubble shape to the tentacles I'm not too worried.

I cut up the slides w/ scissors & a selcon. Kind of like shreds. If the pieces are too big you will know (they eventually spit them out). You are on the right track adding more lightng.

damn it now im jealous i lost my green bta a few months back when my tank heated up real bad i had to move my tank to a darker spot in my home but close to the front door so i can at least turn on the whole house circulator and help regulate the water temp but any way my true perc's dont have anything to really host they try host my frogspawn then the xenia, they wont go near my condy, so was thinkin maybe a seabea anome until your roses split again

I'd wait until the 40g gets up and running for a while then put it in there. The paramaters fluxuate too much in a 10g imo. I wanted one too in my 10g I just didn't want to hurt it. One of the many reasons I set up my 40g breeder as well. Now just letting mine mature before I add an anemone. Gl and be paitent

That sounds like a plan. I am anxiously waiting for 3 more months until mine matures a little more before i get into Anemones and clams. 6 months is usually the minimum but I think it will be alright as long as your paramaters are not fluxuating wildly.

i have a RBTA that i would like to get rid of. he's currently on a huge piece of LR though. it's not the same type as MFR's but it's close :)

it's lost a little of it's color from when i first got it (more than 1month ago)... he's under 88 watts of PC. if you have anything stronger than that it should color up after a couple weeks. i feed it a piece of krill every other day, and i rarely ever see it shriveled up.. about 95% of the time u can see bubble tips)

it was one of those impulse buys that i shouldn't have done, but unfortunately did :(... so let me know if you still want it. here are pix of when i first got it, and pix of it right now.

Glad to hear about the splits taking place. As some of you know this is a nice deep red strain. and the more to go around the better.


Anyway, I have been down in the Sea of Cortez (in and around Loreto) for that last couple of weeks seeing some AMAZING animals (you should see the zoo frag I got through customs in a water bottle , he he:))
