Hey guys, been snooping and reading for a while and figured it was time to sign up. I recently made the switch from planted tank to reefs. Me and my wife just bought a new house and decided it was the perfect time to pull the trigger on a new tank.

Congrats on the new house, and welcome to the area.

Nice start & welcome to Sdr.
It does get expensive once you get a big boy tank with all the bells and whistles & high end livestock.

Start them out with the worst possible then a reef tank seems like nothing! Ha

She's used to me spending ungodly amounts of time and money on this:

Stopped by shipwreck cove today. Wow does Dan have some amazing corals and is super helpful. Ended up leaving with just a red acan and some clove polyps. But I think I'll be back this week for a orange fungia I fell in love with.

The acan opened up within the first hour. This is it at the end of the sunset mode with flash on
