slime all over the place

How do you get rid of red and green slime alage? What kind of kritter will eat this crap? Please help. This stuff is all over my 60gal FOWLR:confused:

your dissolved organics are probably too high. are you using scripps? you need to do more frequent water changes unitl the red slime and algae subside. oh, and you may be overfeeding too...

Thanks guys I did a 50% water change last night (scripps water) so wee will se what happens. I feed 3 times a week, don't think thats too much.:)

Put in a fuge... EVEN if it's FOWLR. You'll get less algae and it'll help with the slim. It takes a couple of weeks for the slim to go away.
