If you have a chiller at what temperature do you have it kick on and off? Just curious. Thanks.

I have my kick on around 82 and drop to between 78 and 79.

Kicks on at 81
Heaters kicks on at 77

In my opinion, any temp in the 80's is chancing it. I use the setting of 77 to 79 deg.

Heater is set at 78(max) and chiller is set at 79(min). So they do not fight each other. One happy family!

Until a hitchhiker mantis killed all my live stock !!!:eek:

In my opinion, any temp in the 80's is chancing it. I use the setting of 77 to 79 deg.

Most reefs in the wild are around 80, and up to 82. As long as you aren't fluctuating too much, you'd be fine. My tank is 78-80 in the winder and 80-82 in the summer. My corals have been quite content with this.
