I just went to LFS today and both a small yellow tang and my wife saw this Clown Tang ( about 3-4" ) and she want me to buy it but I dont know if i can put them together on a 50g tank :confused:
please let me know so i can buy that Clown Tang, its very beutiful fish.
Is the clown tang easy to take care?

Yes a yellow and a clown tang can be placed in the same tank....The same BIG tank...:)

what do you mean by police tang?

Even though i dont have any fish on my 50g i cannot keep eather one?

"Tang Police" is a label for a rabid group of individuals who are obsessively concerned with the fish to exact gallon ratio.

clown tangs are usually crazywack, like sohals and achilles and probly some others....

Hmm you maybe able to get away with it but then again you may have a blood bath on your hands.
Few questions?
1) Do you have a tang already in your 50 that has established Teritory?
2) Are they about the same size?


Clown tangs can be very aggresive so I would probably only do one or the other but you might get away with it.
