after looking at pics i do notice that aptasia in back (frag is from another member, wont name names ,lol) I will scrape that off or remove rock with next service.

Pics above are five minutes after install

will update as this pico matures & becomes established

side note: sand is from my current system to jump start
& I plan on adding 1 gallon of my reef's water and 1 gallon red sea mix every 2 weeks

any input, comments, suggestions are welcome

looks fantastic! i am currently upgrading
from my first picoreef (3g) to an 8g cadlights.
and i like the shape of your tank as well as your
rock arrangement. mine was an emergency saltwater
tank from a freshwater tetra, so it wasn't ideal.

have fun!

@cyn Thanks

I service this tank every 2 weeks
Nano's are hard too keep in general

But were finding a great parameters all around

A nano skimmer was bought and planned for this setup
Scrapped due to concerns on both ends of owners and I

More Corals added

enjoy

Got a call that he had not seen , the bi blenny in weeks ..........
Figured it died / jump out / ect.... serviced left...

Two more weeks go by ... I service this morning .......... & whah lah ! find him in the back bottom of the overflow side.

The odds of making it to the overflow with jumping out of this tiny system blew me away.

Any-hoot completely pulled apart and cleaned , pulled rocks and some corals
to give it a more roomier feel...added black sand

Put a lid on it for "Air Jordan" ....picture shy right now but one could understand
He has been in purgatory aka the hole for a month.
