Hi folks, I have a 1988 BMW 325i, convertible. The steering is out, I believe it is the steering rack itself. It could be just the boots/ gaskets/ whatever but there is fluid all along the top of the rack. It's not coming from the reservoir or the hose. I looked at Parts Geek and see many choices on rack assemblies, need advice on what to buy and a guy to install it. Not looking to cheap out, will pay a fair price for the labor. If interested text or call me 619-865-1295 or e-mail dmulcahy101@yahoo.com. Thanks, - D

Is the power steering complete out and hard to steer or is it just leaking. ..theres the boots on each end of the rack if you cut a slit and oil drips out then you need a rack. Also open the resovoir while the car is on and you dont here any noise or see fluid moving while your turning the wheel you might also have a bad p/$ pump..check those tbings if you have any other questions just pm me
