I have an LG fridge with bottom drawer freezer and top double-door fridge.
My freezer is working fine but the temp on the fridge says "Er" and "FF" and the fridge is not cold.
Couple days ago I heard an odd whirring sound like a dirty fan not spinning properly...
Any thoughts? Anyone in the business? Help!

I am not sure, but have you tried unplugging it letting it reset to see if the error occurs again?

When mine did the same thing, I ended buying a new fridge. Repair man told me its cheaper to fix, but buying new gets a better warranty. Price difference was about $200.

Sounds like the thermostat fan that blows air from the freezer to the frig has gone bad. Guessing it's a $30 part. It should be in the rear panel of the freezer.

That would be awesome if its that. Good luck Chris.

Thanks all! According to the error code it is indeed the fan that blows air up into the fridge. That would make sense of the odd sound I have heard that sounded like a fan not spinning correctly.
I found a few video's on youtube so I'm now going to start dismantling the fridge.... hope I don't ruin it!
